I read your blog ALL THE TIME, and am quite entertained by your stories (especially the Christmas reading!)

I tried dl-ing the Simon Curtis but had problems opening the files (being somewhat of a computer dunce)--I'll have to get a friend to help see if I can open them. Just got the Donkeyboy CD, which is quite melodic, perky pop, and Caught in a Life gets me--especially since my 17 yr old kitty just passed away.

What's it gonna take for the world to wake to Alphabeat? Hopefully the Gabriella has more legs, but what with all the other females (including a closeness to Goldfrapp's latest sound), we'll see how it goes. It's definitely a less self-conscious versh of the Frapp LP.countpopulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14353668830179023892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306907629626020156.post-25072900326166987252010-04-04T08:40:44.403-07:002010-04-04T08:40:44.403-07:00Great selection - i'm wooed by Marina and Gold...Great selection - i'm wooed by Marina and Goldfrapp myself and pleasantly surprised by how fun the Gabriella album is. Have you checked out Simon Curtis 8 Bit heart yet? It's not to everyone's taste but it's free from his site www.simon-curtis.com...

And yes to Alphabeat too - so sad they haven't had more success with the album :/Myfizzypophttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02947668142001550049noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306907629626020156.post-89397437222594588822010-04-01T07:18:16.679-07:002010-04-01T07:18:16.679-07:00XO--yeah, and I haven't even heard Lights (the...XO--yeah, and I haven't even heard Lights (the song) yet, but I had to spend almost $20 on a CD. How fair is that? Makes me think they should have MORE incentives for those who actually buy physical copies. Downloaders have enough incentives as it is.

Jeff--thank you for your kind comments. I don't know what kind of information you would need or want. I will say that I am an avid music fan, and I run an independent music store on the US east coast. Many of the things I have written here were generally for my own reference and pleasure, but it seems as though my thoughts about what this could be seem to change daily, so thank you very much for your interest, and you may see things begin to expand a bit.countpopulahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14353668830179023892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7306907629626020156.post-75957003669098582672010-03-31T18:53:14.831-07:002010-03-31T18:53:14.831-07:00Great pics - of course we have similar tastes, so ...Great pics - of course we have similar tastes, so I'd say that. Isn't it odd about artists leaving the title tracks off? Lights is better than several songs that made it to the actual disc...xolondonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05527843352134958287noreply@blogger.com
